Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 892067 Size: SH
  1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
  2. Remove the exhaust resonator to exhaust manifold pipe bolts.

    3. Object Number: 892075 Size: SH
  3. Remove the heat shield to body attachment nuts.
  4. Lower the exhaust by removing some isolators and remove the heat shield.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 892075 Size: SH
  1. Position the heat shield and install the fasteners.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the heat shield-to-body attachment nuts to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  2. Position the exhaust pipe and install the isolators.

    3. Object Number: 892067 Size: SH
  3. Install the exhaust resonator to exhaust manifold pipe fasteners.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the exhaust manifold pipe bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  4. Lower the vehicle from the hoist.
  5. Check the exhaust system for leaks.
