Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement L61

1. Remove the battery.
2. Drain the coolant. Refer to Engine Coolant Check and Replacement .
3. Remove the lower radiator hose to the engine block clamp.



4. Remove the return hose to the surge bottle clamp.



5. Remove the lower radiator hose to radiator outlet clamp.
6. Remove the lower radiator hose from the engine bracket clamp and remove.

Important: The white line on the hose should be installed at the 12 o'clock position.

1. Position the lower radiator hose into the engine bracket clamp.



2. Install the lower radiator hose to the engine block fitting.



3. Install the return hose to the surge tank.
4. Install the lower radiator hose to the engine block fitting clamp at the 1 o'clock position.
5. Install the return hose to the surge tank clamp at the 2 o'clock position.




Important: The white line on the hose should be installed at the 12 o'clock position.

6. Install the lower radiator hose to radiator outlet.
7. Install the lower radiator hose to radiator outlet clamp at the 12 o'clock position.
8. Close the lower radiator hose into the engine bracket clamp.
9. Install the battery.
10. Connect the negative battery cable.

Tighten
Tighten the battery terminal bolts to 17 N·m (13 lb ft).

11. Fill the coolant. Refer to Engine Coolant Check and Replacement .

Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement L81

1. Remove the battery.
2. Drain the coolant. Refer to Engine Coolant Check and Replacement .
3. Remove the lower radiator hose to the engine block clamp.



4. Remove the upper transaxle cooler line from the radiator end tank.



5. Remove the lower radiator hose to radiator outlet clamp and remove the hose.
6. Remove the lower radiator hose from the wiring harness clamp.

Important: The white line on the hose should be installed at the 12 o'clock position.

1. Install the lower radiator hose to the engine block fitting and position the clamp at the 1 o'clock position.




Important: The white line on the hose should be installed at the 12 o'clock position.

2. Install the lower radiator hose to the radiator outlet and position the clamp at the 11 o'clock position.



3. Install the lower radiator hose into the wiring harness clamp.
4. Install the outlet hose to the radiator and position the clamp at the 12 o'clock position.



5. Install the upper transaxle cooler line to the radiator end tank.

Tighten
Tighten the upper transaxle cooler line to radiator end tank to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).




6. Install the battery.
7. Install the battery hold down/fan control module bracket.

Tighten
Tighten the battery hold down bracket to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).





Important: Battery life is reduced if a battery insulation cover is not used.

8. Install the battery insulating cover.



9. Install the fan control module by sliding down onto the bracket.



10. Connect the positive battery cable.

Tighten
Tighten the battery terminal bolts to 17 N·m (13 lb ft).

11. Connect the negative battery cable.

Tighten
Tighten the battery terminal bolts to 17 N·m (13 lb ft).

12. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Engine Coolant Check and Replacement .
13. Use fresh water to rinse away any coolant that was spilled during the service.
