Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 897509 Size: SH
  1. Remove the shut off valve connector from the air check valve.
  2. Remove the bolt from the check valve bracket.
  3. Remove the bolts from the exhaust manifold.
  4. Remove the air pipe and discard the gasket.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Install the new air pipe gasket and install the air pipe onto the exhaust manifold.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the air pipe-to-exhaust manifold bolts to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).

  2. Install the air pipe bracket bolt and torque.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the air pipe bracket bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the air check valve to the air pipe.
  4. Install the shut off valve connector hose to the air check valve.
