Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the air inlet tube and air cleaner assembly.
- Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator hose
from the throttle body and fuel rail.
- Disconnect the throttle position sensor (TPS) and the idle air control
(IAC) electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connection.
- Disconnect the throttle and cruise control cables.
- Remove the throttle body mounting bolts and nuts.
- Remove the throttle cable bracket.
Important: The throttle body-to-manifold gasket is reusable
if it is not damaged. Replace if damaged.
- Remove the throttle body.
Installation Procedure
- Install the throttle body gasket.
- Install the throttle body and throttle cable bracket.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the throttle body mounting bolts and nuts.
Tighten
• | Tighten the throttle body bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in). |
• | Tighten the throttle body nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in). |
- Connect the throttle and cruise control
cables.
- Connect the throttle position sensor (TPS) and the idle air control (IAC)
electrical connectors.
- Connect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connection.
- Connect the fuel pressure regulator hose to the throttle body and fuel
rail.
- Connect the air inlet tube and air cleaner assembly.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
Tighten
Tighten the battery terminal bolts to 17 N·m
(13 lb ft).
