Location: Underneath vehicle directly behind fuel tank. Same area as fuel tank inline.

RING TERMINAL GROUNDS

Ignition Ground

Location: Underhood fastened to the engine lift bracket. Engine lift bracket is located on the 2, 4, 6 cylinder bank head on the side opposite the timing belt cover. The ignition ground is the upper 2 wires which have a thicker gage size.

Left Forward Lamp Ground

Location: Underhood fastened to the chassis directly in front of the battery. The left forward lamp ground splice pack is tied to the same stud as the left forward lamp ground splice pack.

Main Ground

Location: Underhood fastened to the engine lift bracket. Engine lift bracket is located on the 2, 4, 6 cylinder bank head on the side opposite the timing belt cover. The main ground is the lower 2 wires which have a thinner gage size.

Rear Compartment Ground (Wagon Only)

Location: Inside vehicle near left tail lamp. Ground can be accessed if the left side carpet near liftgate is removed.

Location: Underhood taped to the engine harness. Slightly right of center front of dash.

Location: Underhood fastened to the chassis directly in front of the battery. The left forward lamp ground splice pack is tied to the same stud as the left forward lamp ground.

Location: Inside trunk near left tail lamp. Splice pack can be accessed if the left side trunk carpeting is removed.

Location: Underhood taped to the engine harness. Slightly right of center front of dash. Same Location: as 5-volt reference splice pack.

Location: Inside vehicle under center console in front of SDM.

Shield Cable Ground Splice Pack

Location: Underhood concealed within engine harness about 12 inches from the ECM J1 harness connector. The J1 harness connector is the front ECM connector.
