Important: Use new bolts and cage nuts. Torque retention of old bolts and nuts may not
be sufficient.
- Remove the rear axle control arm bolts and cage nuts and discard them.
Important: Do not tighten the bolts at this time.
- Install new bolts leaving the inside forward bolt out.
- Install the KM-900
into the open bolt hole.
- Using the KM-900
,
move the rear axle control arm in the direction of the necessary toe correction.
Important: Do not tighten to final torque at this time.
- Snug the rear axle control arm bolts.
- Recheck the toe and adjust if necessary.
- Using the SA9140E
, tighten the rear axle control arm bolts using the torque angle method.
Tighten
Tighten the rear axle control arm bracket-to-body bolts to 90 N·m
(66 lb ft) + 30-45 degrees.
- Repeat the procedure for the other rear wheel.
