Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 895347  Size: SH
  1. Clean the brake fluid reservoir cap and area around the cap.
  2. Remove the brake fluid reservoir cap and remove enough brake fluid to clear the passage to the clutch master cylinder.
  3. Disconnect the clutch hydraulic line assembly from the body retaining clips.
  4. Remove the clutch hydraulic line assembly from the clutch master cylinder. Position the line out of the way of the clutch master cylinder removal path.

  6. Remove the clutch master cylinder hose from the brake master cylinder.

  7. Object Number: 896490  Size: SH
  8. Remove the left lower I/P closeout panel (hush panel) push pins and remove the left lower I/P closeout (hush panel).

  9. Object Number: 895318  Size: SH
  10. Remove the clutch master cylinder push rod from the clutch pedal.
  11. Remove the clutch master cylinder mounting nuts and remove the master cylinder.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 895318  Size: SH
  1. Transfer the clutch master cylinder hose to the new clutch master cylinder.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the clutch master cylinder and mounting nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the clutch master cylinder mounting nuts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  5. Connect the clutch master cylinder rod to the clutch pedal.

  7. Install the left lower I/P closeout panel (hush panel).

  8. Object Number: 895463  Size: SH
  9. Install the clutch master cylinder hose to the brake master cylinder.

  10. Object Number: 895347  Size: SH
  11. Attach the clutch hydraulic line assembly to the clutch master cylinder.
  12. Connect the hydraulic line assembly to body retaining clips.
  13. Notice: Refer to Clutch Hydraulic System Lubricant Notice in the Preface section.

  14. Add brake fluid as required and bleed the clutch hydraulic system. Refer to Hydraulic Clutch Bleeding .
  15. Inspect the system for proper operation and fluid leaks. Repair as necessary.
