J 43894 Cockpit Assembly Aid

1. Remove the instrument panel.
2. Remove the steering wheel and steering column fasteners.
3. Remove the beam assembly.

1. Install the cross car beam assembly into position.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

2. Insert J 43894 into front body hinge pillar. Install the cross car beam fasteners.

Tighten
Tighten the cross car beam fasteners to 25 N·m (19 lb ft).

3. Install the steering column.
4. Install the instrument panel.

When the vehicle is completely reassembled, performance check the following systems:

•	All electrical systems

•	Braking systems

•	HVAC system

•	Steering system

•	Water leak test modular dash and windshield. Check all seams for water leaks and air leaks.

•	Engine cooling system

•	Engine air intake system

5. Install the steering wheel.
