- Apply 1 coat of DP90 Epoxy Primer or equivalent primer over all bare metal
areas. Use 40 - 50 psi of air pressure at the gun.
- Allow 30 minutes dry time before applying the primer surfacer.
- Apply 2-3 medium wet coats of D839 Acrylic Urethane Primer
Surfacers or equivalent to the component primer surfacer.
- Apply a light guide coat over the primer. Over reduced (150-200 percent)
conventional primer surfacers will work well as a guide coat.
- Allow the 2 component primers to dry for 1-¼ hours, under
normal conditions, before sanding. Wet sand with 400 grade (or finer) sandpaper
or dry sand with 320 grade, or finer, sandpaper. Use the guide coat as an indicator
to locate imperfections which need to be sanded out.
