Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 896861 Size: SH
  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  2. Remove the seat back pad/cover. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 897801 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the electrical connections from the actuator motor to the seat back power recliner.

    4. Object Number: 897050 Size: SH
  4. Remove the pal nut from the recliner actuator shaft.

    5. Object Number: 897014 Size: SH
  5. Partially remove the shaft, then remove the recliner motor fasteners and the recliner actuator motor.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 897014 Size: SH
  1. Install the recliner actuator motor and the fasteners.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  2. Install the actuator shaft to the seat back recliner and secure with the pal nut.

    3. Object Number: 897801 Size: SH
  3. Connect the electrical connections to the actuator motor on the seat back power recliner.
  4. Install the seat back pad and cover. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement .

    5. Object Number: 896861 Size: SH
  5. Install the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
