Seat Cushion Frame Replacement w/ Drawstring

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  2. Remove the inner recliner finish panel. Refer to Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the outer finish panel. Refer to Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 896778 Size: SH
  4. Remove the recliner fasteners.
  5. Remove the seat back assembly.

    6. Object Number: 897273 Size: SH
  6. Remove the seat cover J-strip from the seat frame at the back of the cushion.

    7. Object Number: 1199342 Size: SH
  7. If the vehicle is equipped with a heated seat, disconnect the heated seat wiring connector from the seat frame harness.

    8. Object Number: 896768 Size: SH
  8. Remove the fasteners and remove the seat cushion frame from the seat adjuster.
  9. Untie the drawstring from the seat cushion frame and remove the frame from the cover and pad.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the seat cushion frame to the cover and pad.
  2. Tie the drawstring to the seat cushion frame.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the frame to the seat adjuster and install the fasteners.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  4. Connect the heated seat wiring connector to the seat frame harness.

    5. Object Number: 897273 Size: SH
  5. Install the seat cushion cover J-strip to the seat frame at the back of the cushion.

    6. Object Number: 896778 Size: SH
  6. Install the seat back assembly and install the recliner fasteners.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  7. Install the outer finish panel. Refer to Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement .
  8. Install the inner recliner finish panel. Refer to Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement .
  9. Install the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .

Seat Cushion Frame Replacement w/ J-Strip

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  2. Remove the inner recliner finish panel. Refer to Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the outer finish panel. Refer to Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 896778 Size: SH
  4. Remove the recliner fasteners.
  5. Remove the seat back assembly.

    6. Object Number: 897273 Size: SH
  6. Remove the seat cover J-strip from the seat frame at the back of the cushion.

    7. Object Number: 1199342 Size: SH
  7. If the vehicle is equipped with a heated seat, disconnect the heated seat wiring connector from the seat frame harness.

    8. Object Number: 896768 Size: SH
  8. Remove the fasteners and remove the seat cushion frame from the seat adjuster.

    9. Object Number: 897272 Size: SH
  9. Remove the trim cover and pad from the seat cushion frame

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the seat cushion frame to the cover and pad.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the frame to the seat adjuster and install the fasteners.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  6. Install the outer finish panel. Refer to Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement .
  7. Install the inner recliner finish panel. Refer to Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement .
  8. Install the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
