Removal Procedure
- Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
- Remove the head restraint. Refer to Head Restraint Replacement .
- On manual seats, remove the recliner handle. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Replacement .
- Remove the outer seat finish panel. Refer to Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement .
- Remove the fasteners from the inner recliner cover and remove the cover.
- If equipped, pull firmly on the lumbar knob from side to side.
- Disconnect the hook retainers from the bottom of the seat back cover.
- Fold the seat back cover over the top of the seat back to expose the seat cover wire.
- Unsnap the wire from the wire retainer to disengage the seat back cover.
- Remove the head restraint guides by compressing the tabs while pulling up on the sleeve.
Notice: Use care when disengaging the hook and loop fasteners. The hook end may pull from the seat foam pad, requiring foam pad replacement.
Installation Procedure
- Install the head restraint guides to the seat back frame.
- Snap the seat back cover wire to the wire retainer.
- Install the remaining seat back cover trim by folding the trim down.
- Connect the hook retainers to the seat back cover bottom.
- If equipped, install the lumbar knob by pushing firmly on the knob.
- Install the inner recliner cover and fasteners.
- Install the outer set finish panel. Refer to Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement .
- On manual seats, install the recliner handle. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Replacement .
- Install the seat into the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 25 N·m (22 lb in).
