Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 892549  Size: SH
  1. Operate the sunroof to the ¼ open position.
  2. Remove the 4 screws from the "U" cover.
  3. Close the sunroof and put in the vent position.
  4. Remove the "U" cover by un-snapping the sides and the lower cover down into the passenger compartment.

  5. Object Number: 897817  Size: SH
  6. Remove the 4 bolts from the encapsulated glass.

  7. Object Number: 897098  Size: SH
  8. Remove the water channel screws (2).

  9. Object Number: 897083  Size: SH
  10. Slide the sunshade forward.
  11. Remove the sunshade from the above vehicle by pressing the sunshade guide clips.

  12. Object Number: 897812  Size: SH
  13. If the sunshade clips are to be replaced, remove the sunshade guide clips by using a small screwdriver to bend the retaining tangs up.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 897091  Size: SH
  1. If the sunshade guide clips were replaced, install the sunshade guide clips by pressing the clips onto the sunshade where the old clips were located.

  2. Object Number: 897078  Size: SH
  3. Install the sunshade from above the vehicle by installing the 2 sunshade guide clips.

  4. Object Number: 897086  Size: SH
  5. Slightly tilting one side of the sunshade more forward than the other side, install the remaining 2 guide clips by pressing the guide clip and pushing into the channel. This will help to engage the clips into the channel.
  6. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  7. Install the water channel screws. Tighten the driver side screw first and the passenger side screw in the second slot.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the water channel screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  9. Install the encapsulated glass with the 4 bolts. Do not tighten at this point.

  10. Object Number: 897810  Size: SH
  11. Align the encapsulated glass to the roof in the 4 locations as indicated by the arrows, 0-1 mm (0-3/64 in) lower than the roof in the front and 0-1 mm (0-3/64 in) higher than the roof in the rear.
  12. Tighten the encapsulated bolts.
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the encapsulated glass-to-sunroof module fasteners to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  14. Install the "U" cover by snapping the sides to the sunroof assembly.
  15. Operate the sunroof to the ¼ open position.
  16. Install the 4 screws to the "U" cover.
  17. Tighten
    Tighten the sunroof module "U" cover retaining screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  18. Verify a smooth operation.
  19. Verify the alignment to the roof.

  21. Adjust by loosening the bolts, repositioning the glass, and retightening in a new position.
