Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 864366 Size: SH
  1. Remove the outer belt seal. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement removal procedure.
  2. Remove the pin retainer from the outside door handle to the door handle pivot.

    3. Object Number: 894101 Size: SH
  3. Slide the door handle toward the front of the vehicle to remove.
  4. Remove the inside bolts from the outer door panel.
  5. With the door closed, lift the outer door panel up and pull outward.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 897842 Size: MH
  1. With the door closed, align the 2 locating pins on the outer door panel. Place the rear door panel in position.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 897845 Size: SH

    Important: Apply LOCTITE 242® Threadlocker, or equivalent, to the fasteners before installation.

  2. Install the bolts to the outer door panel and tighten in the correct sequence as shown.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the outer door panel bolts-rear to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  3. Install the outer door handle by lifting up on the handle pivot and sliding the handle toward the rear of the vehicle.

    4. Object Number: 864366 Size: SH
  4. Install the pin retainer through the door handle to the door handle pivot.
  5. Install the outer belt seal. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement installation procedure.
