RKE Transmitter Function Check

Function	Normal Results
LOCK	All the doors lock. The security system will arm, and the daytime running lamp (DRL) lights will flash once. The horn will chirp once on the second lock command.
UNLOCK	The drivers door unlocks, the DRL lights will flash twice and the dome lamp will turn on, with the dome lamp switch in DOOR position. Pressing unlock again within 5 seconds unlocks the remaining doors. The dome lamp illuminates for 20 seconds, or until a door is opened, at which time the dome lamp will remain on but will be controlled by the door jamb switch. The dome lamp switch must be in the DOOR position.
( red) Panic	The horn will sound and the DRL lights will flash. The horn and The DRL lights will continue to cycle until the PANIC button is pressed again or 2 minutes have passed, whichever occurs first.
Decklid (Sedan)	This will release the decklid when pressed while the key is in RUN, or OFF, ACC as long as the vehicle is not moving. The vehicle speed must be zero.
Decklid (Wagon)	This will unlock the rear hatch, for 2 minutes, then the BCM will re-lock the rear liftgate. In order to open the rear liftgate the key cylinder must be pressed within the 2 minute time period.

RKE Audible Programmable Features

RKE -- Door locking audible feedback	The horn "chirps" once with the second lock command from the key transmitter, if received within 5 seconds of the first command or the BCM will "chime" 3 times to signify a delayed locking situation. RKE -- Door locking visual feedback	The DRLs flash once with the lock command from the key fob and upon closing all doors and the trunk during a delayed locking situation.	Retailer	The DRLs do not flash with the lock command from the key transmitter.
RKE -- Door unlocking visual feedback	The DRLs flash twice with the unlock command from the key transmitter.	Retailer	The DRLs do not flash with the unlock command from the key transmitter.
RKE -- Door unlocking audible feedback	Off	Retailer	The horn will "chirp" twice on the first Unlock command from the RKE transmitter.
Passive arming of the Saturn Security System	The system is not enabled.	Retailer	The system arms automatically when the ignition key is removed and all the doors and trunk are closed for 5 minutes or 10 minutes after the ignition key is removed, but no doors are opened and closed. Passive arming mode does not lock the doors automatically.
Saturn Security System pre-alarm state	The horn will "chirp" for 10 seconds before going into the full alarm state if a door or the trunk is opened after the system is armed.	Retailer	The horn will stay silent for 10 seconds before going in the full alarm state if a door or the trunk is opened after the system is armed.
