Fixed Antenna Mast Replacement Sedan
Removal Procedure
- Use a wrench to loosen the antenna mast.
- Remove the antenna mast.
- Open the jack access panel, located on the left side of the rear compartment.
- Move the jack out of the way.
- Remove the fasteners from the antenna bracket assembly.
- From the inside rear compartment area, remove the antenna bracket assembly
from the hole in the rear quarter panel.
- Disconnect the antenna lead from the antenna base mating socket.
- If necessary, remove the antenna bezel from the rear quarter panel opening.
Installation Procedure
Important: Apply lubricant to the antenna mounting spacer, as required, to facilitate the
installation of the antenna bezel.
- If necessary, insert the antenna bezel into the rear quarter panel opening.
- Connect the antenna lead to the antenna base mating socket.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- From the inside rear compartment area, insert the antenna bracket assembly through
the hole in the rear quarter panel and fully seat. Align the slot in the bracket to
the weld studs on the inner and outer flanges of the wheelhouse.
Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 8 N·m (70 lb in).
- Position the jack to its original location.
- Close the jack access panel.
- Install and tighten the antenna mast to the antenna base.
- Tighten the antenna mast down with a wrench.
Tighten
Tighten the mast to 8 N·m (70 lb in).
Fixed Antenna Mast Replacement Wagon
Removal Procedure
- Remove the roof mounted antenna mast by turning the mast counterclockwise.
- Remove the rear headliner molding.
- Remove the rear dome lamp.
- Remove the rear dome lamp heat shield.
- Disconnect the coax antenna cable from the antenna base cable.
- Remove the nut that secures the antenna base to the roof by accessing
it through the dome lamp opening.
- Remove the antenna base from the roof panel hole.
Installation Procedure
- Route the antenna base cable through the roof panel hole.
- Install and position the threaded end of the antenna base to the roof
panel.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Secure the antenna base to the roof panel with the nut.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
- Connect the coax antenna cable to the antenna base cable.
- Install the rear dome lamp heat shield.
- Install the rear dome lamp.
- Install the rear headliner molding.
- Install the antenna mast to the antenna base and hand tighten.
