Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 897855 Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear wiper arm finish cap.
  2. Remove the wiper arm retaining nut, washer and arm.
  3. Remove the spacer, shaft nut, washer, and bezel.
  4. Open the liftgate.
  5. Remove liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Panel Assembly - Inner Lower in Interior Trim.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  7. While supporting the rear wiper motor assembly, remove the mounting bolts.
  8. Remove the wiper motor assembly.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the wiper motor assembly.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. While supporting the rear wiper motor assembly, install the mounting bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the rear wiper motor attachment bolts to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector.

    4. Object Number: 896727 Size: SH
  4. Install the bezel, washer, shaft nut, and spacer.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the wiper bezel-to wiper motor shaft nut - rear to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the wiper arm, washer, and retaining nut.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the wiper arm retaining nut - rear to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  6. Install the rear wiper arm finish cap.
  7. Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Panel Assembly - Inner Lower in Interior Trim.
  8. Close the liftgate.
  9. Function rear wiper to check operation.
