    Object Number: 825004  Size: SH

    Notice: Never attempt to remove the intake manifold from a hot engine, allow the engine to cool to ambient temperature. The intake manifold is made of a composite plastic and can be damaged if it is removed when the engine is hot.

  1. Remove the EVAP emission canister valve tube (1).
  2. Remove the EVAP emission canister valve (2).

  3. Object Number: 750019  Size: SH
  4. Remove the throttle body.

  5. Object Number: 746065  Size: SH
  6. Remove fuel pipes and clip. Remove the fuel rail assembly.

  7. Object Number: 746066  Size: SH
  8. Remove the intake manifold retaining nuts and bolts.
  9. Remove the intake manifold.
  10. Remove the intake manifold gasket, if necessary. The gasket can be used again if it is not damaged.
  11. If the intake manifold needs to be replaced, transfer the throttle body.

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 898891  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator hose from the throttle body and fuel rail.

  2. Object Number: 895188  Size: SH
  3. Remove the throttle body.

  4. Object Number: 895190  Size: SH
  5. Remove the fuel pipes and clip.
  6. Remove the fuel rail assembly.

  7. Object Number: 897471  Size: SH
  8. Remove the knock sensor connector from the intake manifold.
  9. Remove the knock sensor.

  10. Object Number: 895191  Size: SH
  11. Remove the intake manifold retaining nuts and bolts.
  12. Remove the intake manifold.
  13. Remove the intake manifold gasket. The gasket is reusable if it is not damaged.
  14. If the intake manifold needs to be replaced, transfer the following parts:
  15. • The throttle body
    • The body gasket. The manifold to throttle body gasket is reusable if it is not damaged.
