    Object Number: 412201 Size: SH
  1. Remove the balance shaft drive chain tensioner bolts.
  2. Remove the balance shaft drive chain tensioner.

    3. Object Number: 412413 Size: SH
  3. Remove the adjustable balance shaft chain guide bolt.
  4. Remove the adjustable balance shaft chain guide.

    5. Object Number: 412414 Size: SH
  5. Remove the small balance shaft drive chain guide bolts.
  6. Remove the small balance shaft drive chain guide.

    7. Object Number: 412415 Size: SH
  7. Remove the upper balance shaft drive chain guide bolts.
  8. Remove the upper balance shaft drive chain guide.

    9. Object Number: 412417 Size: SH

    Important: It may ease removal of the balance shaft drive chain to get all of the slack in the chain between the crankshaft and water pump sprockets.

  9. Remove the balance shaft drive chain.
  10. Remove the balance shaft drive sprocket.

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 895293 Size: SH
  1. Remove the balance shaft drive chain tensioner.

    2. Object Number: 895512 Size: SH
  2. Remove the adjustable balance shaft chain guide.

    3. Object Number: 895517 Size: SH
  3. Remove the small balance shaft drive chain guide.

    4. Object Number: 895520 Size: SH
  4. Remove the upper balance shaft drive chain guide.

    5. Object Number: 895525 Size: SH

    Important: It may ease the removal of the balance shaft drive chain to get all of the slack in the chain between the crankshaft and water pump sprockets.

  5. Remove the balance shaft drive chain.
  6. Remove the crankshaft drive sprocket.
