Notice: If the pressure cap is not tightly installed, coolant loss and possible engine damage may occur. Be sure the cap is properly and tightly secured.

If you replace your coolant surge tank pressure cap, a Saturn cap is required.

Engine coolant temperature is controlled by a thermostat in the engine. The thermostat stops the flow of coolant through the radiator until the coolant reaches a preset temperature.

The thermostat in your Saturn engine is not a normal item, However, should your thermostat need replacing, we recommend replacement with a Saturn thermostat.

If the thermostat is thought to affect heater performance, refer to "Heater" in Climate Control System and Audio System(s) in this handbook before replacing the thermostat.
