Purpose
This bulletin is being released to update spark plug and PCM calibration usage information for subject vehicles. Whenever servicing spark plugs on a 2002 or 2003 Saturn L-Series 2.2L (L61) engine, be certain to install spark plug P/N 12569190. Additionally, the PCM calibration should be verified. If the current calibration is listed in this table, reprogram PCM with the calibration available starting November 2002, on the Saturn Service Stall CD version TIS 11/2002 or later.

To receive credit for this repair during the warranty coverage period, submit a claim through the Saturn Dealer System for J4226 (Plugs, Spark, I4 (L61) - Replace). An "add time" condition is provided to reprogram the PCM. If another procedure is performed, refer to the appropriate Electronic Labor Time Guide for the correct Labor Operation Code and Time.
