Conditions for Setting the DTC
DTC C0551 will set if the ABS control module option configuration bit does not match the vehicle.
When DTC C0551 sets:
| • | The TRAC switch LED is commanded off. |
| • | The ABS control module will disable the TCS. |
Diagnostic Aids
Important: When C0551 sets, the TCS is disabled for the entire ignition cycle.
Important: New ABS control modules will automatically set DTC C0551 when installed. To clear DTC C0551, new modules must be configured with the correct engine and transmission option bit. Refer to "ABS Programming" on Scan tool.
