Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 885995 Size: SH
  1. Turn the ignition OFF.
  2. Disconnect the purge link quick connect from the EVAP purge solenoid.
  3. Disconnect the EVAP purge solenoid harness connector.
  4. Remove the purge solenoid and bracket. Remove it's ported vacuum line.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 897669 Size: SH
  1. Connect the EVAP purge solenoid ported vacuum line.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the EVAP purge solenoid and bracket to the cylinder head.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the EVAP purge solenoid bracket bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Connect the purge line quick connect to the EVAP purge solenoid. Push in the connector until a click is heard, then pull back to confirm positive engagement.
  4. Connect the EVAP purge solenoid harness connector.
