1. Pull down the assist handle to expose the assist handle fasteners.
2. Remove the fasteners and assist handle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Position the assist handle and tighten the fasteners.

Tighten
Tighten the assist handle fasteners to 16 N·m (142 lb in).
