Crankcase Ventilation System

Important: Always perform a visual check of the PCV system:

   • The PCV vent housing is properly mounted.
   • The PCV hose, grommet, fresh air hose, and clamps are in place.
   • There is no damage to the PCV vent housing gasket or fresh air holes.
   • Make sure the clamps are on tight.

Rough idle, stalling or slow idle speed, oil leaks, oil in throttle body/plenum, or sludge in engine

Clogged hose

  1. Repair or replace the hoses as necessary.
  2. Clean or replace the PCV vent housing or valve.

Rough idle, stalling, or high idle speed

Leaking hose

Clean or replace the hose
