The ECM determines the exact position of the throttle butterfly with the use
of two independent oppositely scaled sensors. The signal from TP sensor 1 is amplified
in the ECM to attain higher resolution and a more precise potentiometer reading. If
the amplification value is less than 3.99 volts or greater than 4.32 volts, or the
offset value is less than -0.1 volt or greater than 0.1 volt, then the signal is not
amplified. In this situation, the vehicle functions without high potentiometer resolution
and sets this DTC.
DTC PARAMETERS
DTC P1530 will set when:
• | Amplifier value or offset out of range |
• | Vehicle speed not present |
• | Engine speed less than 250 rpm |
• | ECT is between 5°C-100°C (41°F-212°F) |
• | IAT greater than 5°C (41°F) |
• | Battery voltage greater than 10 volts |
• | Pedal position less than 15% |
DTC P1530 is a (type D) DTC
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
Check for TP sensor DTCs. If present, diagnose those first.
This code indicates a hardware failure may have occurred internal to the ECM.
Replace ECM.
