Fuel Tank Filler Door Lock Actuator Replacement Sedan

1. Open fuel tank filler door.
2. Remove bolts holding fuel tank filler door to quarter panel.
3. Remove fuel tank filler door from quarter panel.



4. Open rear compartment lid.
5. Flip rear compartment floor carpet away from side carpet.
6. Remove rear compartment side carpet fasteners.
7. Remove side carpet assembly.



8. Remove screws holding lock actuator to inner quarter panel.
9. Pull lock actuator straight back until lock actuator rod clears fuel filler door latch access hole.
10. Disconnect lock actuator connector from lock actuator.
11. Remove lock actuator.

1. Install lock actuator connector to lock actuator.
2. Route lock actuator rod through fuel filler latch access hole.
3. Install screws holding lock actuator to inner quarter panel.

Tighten
Tighten the fuel tank filler door lock actuator screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

4. Position side carpet to vehicle.
5. Install side carpet fasteners.
6. Position decklid weatherstrip over rear compartment side carpet.
7. Position floor carpet into place.
8. Position fuel tank filler door latch to quarter panel.
9. Install bolts holding fuel tank filler door latch to quarter panel and tighten.

Tighten
Tighten the fuel tank filler door latch-to-quarter pane screws to 1 N·m (9 lb in).

10. Close fuel tank filler door checking to ensure that latch and lock are working properly.

Fuel Tank Filler Door Lock Actuator Replacement Wagon

1. Open fuel tank filler door.
2. Remove bolts holding fuel tank filler door to quarter panel.
3. Remove fuel tank filler door from quarter panel.



4. Remove cargo shade.
5. Lower rear seat back assembly.



6. Gently pull at attaching clip locations and remove cargo shade side molding.



7. Remove seat side bolster.

7.1.	Reach down into outer corner of rear seat cushion to expose bolster retaining tab.

7.2.	Bend tab upward.

7.3.	Starting at bottom, pull forward to disengage bolster from retaining tab then pull upward to disengage upper attachment.




8. Remove rear load floor.



9. Remove cargo net fasteners.



10. Gently pull at clip locations and remove rear cargo area side trim panel.



11. Remove screws holding lock actuator to inner quarter panel.
12. Pull lock actuator straight back until lock actuator rod clears fuel filler door latch access hole.
13. Disconnect lock actuator connector from lock actuator.
14. Remove lock actuator.

1. Install lock actuator connector to lock actuator.
2. Route lock actuator rod through fuel filler latch access hole.
3. Install screws holding lock actuator to inner quarter panel.

Tighten
Tighten the fuel tank filler door lock actuator screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).




4. Install rear cargo area side trim panel to vehicle with integral clips making sure panel is slid under liftgate lower molding.



5. Install cargo net fasteners.

Tighten
Tighten the cargo net fasteners to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).





Caution: Make sure the rear seat shoulder belt is not caught behind the bolster when installing the bolster.

6. Install rear seat bolster.

6.1.	Position rear seal bolster onto upper bolster attachment.

6.2.	Push down on bolster to engage upper attachment and install over retaining tab.

6.3.	Bend lower retaining tab over bolster wire frame at rear seat cushion location.




7. Install rear load floor.



8. Install cargo shade side molding by pushing at clip locations.



9. Install cargo shade.
10. Raise rear seat back assembly.
11. Reinstall liftgate weatherstrip over side trim panel using a flat blade tool.



12. Position fuel tank filler door latch to quarter panel.
13. Install bolts holding fuel tank filler door latch to quarter panel and tighten.

Tighten
Tighten the fuel tank filler door bolts to 1 N·m (9 lb in).

14. Close fuel tank filler door checking to ensure that latch and lock are working properly.
