- Install the water crossover.
- Slide the upper seals (2) onto the bolts.
- Insert the bolts (1) into the water crossover.
- Slide the lower seals (2) under the water crossover and onto the bolts.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the water crossover bolts to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
- Install the coolant bridge and install the coolant bridge lower seals.
- Install the coolant bridge upper seals and the coolant bridge bolts.
- Install the coolant intake housing and install the coolant intake housing O-ring seal.
- Install the coolant intake housing bolts.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Tighten
Tighten the coolant bridge bolts to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
Tighten
Tighten the coolant intake housing bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
