Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 892549 Size: SH
  1. Remove the sunroof module from the vehicle. Refer to Sunroof Module Assembly Replacement .
  2. Remove the screws from the sunroof garnish molding.
  3. Manually move the sunroof into the ¼ open position.
  4. Remove the sunroof garnish molding by releasing it from the sides of the sunroof module.
  5. Remove the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Air Deflector Replacement .

  6. Remove the Kolissa, the 4 E-clips and the pins.

    7. Object Number: 897098 Size: SH
  7. Remove the screw from the left side water channel.

    8. Object Number: 897821 Size: SH
  8. Remove the screw from the right side water channel.

    9. Object Number: 897073 Size: SH
  9. Remove the motor/actuator screws.

  10. Remove the guide assembly.

  11. Remove the cables by sliding the cable and the guides from the sunroof frame.

Installation Procedure

  1. Slide the front guide assembly and the cables into the sunroof frame.

    2. Object Number: 897828 Size: SH
  2. Install the guide assembly into the sunroof frame.

    3. Object Number: 897808 Size: SH
  3. Install the Kolissa, the 4 E-clips and the pins.

    4. Object Number: 897080 Size: SH
  4. Slide the guide assembly forward and align each guide assembly with the 0 position. The 0 position is aligned when the hash marks on the guide assembly are aligned with the front pin E-clip on the cable assembly guide.

    5. Object Number: 897805 Size: SH
  5. Prior to the motor installation, verify the motor is in the 0 position by lining up the slot on the outside of the ring with the slot on the inside ring as shown. Cycle the motor with the switch (or manually operate with a small screwdriver in the slot) until these slots line up.

    6. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  6. Install the motor/actuator and the screws.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  7. Manually move the sunroof to the open position using a small flat-bladed tool in the slot provided.

    8. Object Number: 897098 Size: SH
  8. Install the water channel.

    9. Tighten the driver side screw first, then the passenger side.

    Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  9. Install the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Air Deflector Replacement .
  10. Install the sunroof module. Refer to Sunroof Module Assembly Replacement .

  11. Operate the sunroof to the ¼ open position.
  12. Install the sunroof garnish molding by putting the sunroof in the vent position.
  13. Install the sunroof garnish molding from the outside of the vehicle by pressing the sides to the sunroof module.
  14. Install the 4 screws to the sunroof garnish molding.

    15. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
