The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.
Condition/Concern:
Saturn has determined that 2002-04 L-series wagon vehicles were built with a center and passenger side rear seat belt anchor that fails to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard for seat belt anchorages. The seat belt anchor may separate from
the floor before holding the required load, increasing the risk of injury.
Recommendation/Instructions:
To correct this condition, Saturn retailers will install a reinforcement plate to the floor of the vehicle, as detailed in the bulletin. Retailers may express concern with not being able to find the document. It can be found in DealerWorld under GM Messenger,
then select search and enter the bulletin 05041.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
