Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 886658 Size: SH
  1. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  2. Remove the underhood junction block. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement in Wiring Systems.

    3. Object Number: 886646 Size: SH
  3. Remove the battery tray.
  4. Support the powertrain. Refer to Engine Support Fixture in Engine Mechanical 2.2L (L61).

    5. Object Number: 891639 Size: SH
  5. Remove the left transmission mount to bracket bolts

    6. Object Number: 891641 Size: SH
  6. Remove the left transmission mount to body bolts.
  7. Remove the transmission mount from the vehicle.

    8. Object Number: 892543 Size: SH
  8. Remove the transmission mount bolt to disassemble the mount.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 892543 Size: SH
  1. Position the mount to the bracket and install the bolt.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the mount bolt to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).


    Object Number: 891641 Size: SH
  2. Install the left transmission mount to the vehicle.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the left transmission mount to body bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).


    Object Number: 891639 Size: SH
  3. Install the left transmission mount to body bolts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 55 N·m (41 lb ft).

  4. Remove the engine support fixture.

    5. Object Number: 886646 Size: SH
  5. Install the battery tray.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the battery tray bolts to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

  6. Install the underhood junction block. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement in Wiring Systems.

    7. Object Number: 886658 Size: SH
  7. Install the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
