Removal Procedure
- Remove the shoulder belt from the buckle.
- Remove the seat cushion from the vehicle. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
- Remove the rear seat bolster. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Bolster Replacement in Seats.
- Remove the upper fastener cover from the rear seat shoulder belt to expose the fastener.
- Remove the fastener.
- Remove the garnish trim. Refer to Rear Upper Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
- Slide the shoulder belt out of the C-pillar trim panel slot.
- Remove the trim finish panel from the rear window. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
- Slide the belt webbing through the slot in the trim finish panel.
- Remove the retractor fastener and remove the retractor.
Installation Procedure
- Position the rear seat shoulder belt retractor. Install the fastener to the retractor.
- Slide the belt webbing through the slot in the rear window trim finish panel.
- Install the panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
- Route the rear seat belt through the C-pillar trim panel slot.
- Install the C-pillar trim panel. Refer to Rear Upper Garnish Molding Replacement .
- Position the rear seat shoulder belt to the C-pillar. Install the fastener.
- Install the upper fastener cover to the shoulder belt.
- Install the rear seat bolster. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Bolster Replacement in Seats.
- Install the rear seat cushion into the vehicle. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
- Install the center shoulder belt into the buckle.
- Test the rear seat shoulder belt to ensure proper operation.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Tighten
Tighten the fastener to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).
