Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 891739  Size: SH

    Important: The engine must be supported upon removal of the engine mount.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  2. Remove the right front engine mount and engine mount bracket from the engine block. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement - Right Side .

  3. Object Number: 894336  Size: SH
  4. Use a 15 mm wrench to rotate the tensioner pulley clockwise while sliding the drive belt off the tensioner or water pump pulley.
  5. Remove the drive belt.
  6. Clean and inspect the serpentine drive belt surfaces.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 894682  Size: SH
  1. Route the belt around all pulleys, except the tensioner or water pump.
  2. Important: Ensure that the drive belt is aligned into the proper grooves on the drive pulley.

  3. Use a 15 mm wrench to rotate the tensioner pulley clockwise.
  4. Slip the belt over the idler or water pump pulley.
  5. Install the right front engine mount. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement - Right Side .
  6. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  7. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the battery terminal bolts to 17 N·m (13 lb ft).
