Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 894529  Size: SH
  1. Drain the coolant.

  2. Object Number: 894180  Size: SH

    Important: The powertrain must be lifted up in order to remove the coolant extension housing.

  3. Remove the upper radiator hose from the coolant extension housing.

  4. Object Number: 893254  Size: SH
  5. Install the SA9105E and the J 43405 and support the powertrain.

  6. Object Number: 891595  Size: SH
  7. Remove the front transaxle mount through bolt.

  8. Object Number: 896501  Size: SH
  9. Raise the powertrain with the engine support fixture to provide clearance to pull the extension housing above the coolant module.
  10. Remove the oil level indicator tube and coolant extension tube bolt.
  11. Remove the oil level indicator tube by pulling upwards.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 894725  Size: SH
  1. Install 2 new O-rings onto the coolant extension housing.
  2. Lubricate the O-ring with coolant and install the extension housing.
  3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the oil level indicator tube and coolant extension housing bolt.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the coolant extension housing bolt to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  6. Lower the powertrain and align the front transaxle mount and mounting bracket using the engine support fixture.

  7. Object Number: 891595  Size: SH
  8. Install the front transaxle mount through bolt.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the transaxle mount through bolt to 55 N·m (41 lb ft).

  10. Remove the engine support fixture and adapters SA9105E and J 43405 or equivalent.

  11. Object Number: 894180  Size: SH
  12. Install the upper radiator hose.

  13. Object Number: 894527  Size: SH
  14. Refill the coolant.
