Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 893818 Size: SH
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling in SIR.
  2. Remove the automatic transaxle control assembly. Refer to Transmission Control Replacement in Automatic Transaxle - 4T40-E/4T45-E.
  3. Using an electrical terminal pick, remove the shift lock control solenoid electrical terminals (black wires) from the connector body.

  4. Move the control assembly out of the PARK (P) position and remove the park lock switch by pressing the switch retaining tabs.
  5. Remove the park lock switch connector body from the control assembly, and remove the switch assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 893820 Size: SH
  1. Install the connector body to the control assembly.
  2. Install the park lock switch to the control assembly.

    3. Object Number: 893821 Size: SH
  3. Insert the shift lock control solenoid electrical terminals into the connector body.
  4. Install the automatic transaxle control assembly. Refer to Transmission Control Replacement in Automatic Transaxle - 4T40-E/4T45-E
  5. Enable the SIR system. Refer SIR Disabling and Enabling in SIR.
