Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 896875 Size: SH
  1. Remove the compartment door. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Door Replacement .
  2. Remove the compartment lamp assembly by pulling on the lamp plunger.
  3. Disconnect the connector from the lamp assembly.

    4. Object Number: 1230136 Size: SH
  4. Remove the retainer from the back of the compartment.

    5. Object Number: 896914 Size: SH
  5. Remove the electrical connectors from the body control module (BCM).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 896914 Size: SH
  1. Install the compartment partially into the opening.
  2. Connect the electrical connectors to the BCM.

    3. Object Number: 896878 Size: SH
  3. Route the glove box lamp wiring harness through the lamp opening. Connect the electrical connector.
  4. Push on the lamp assembly until the assembly clicks into place.

    5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  5. Install the glove compartment fastener.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  6. Install the retainer.
  7. Install the compartment door. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Door Replacement .
