Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Raise the vehicle . Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  3. Remove the brake rotor. Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Replacement in Disc Brakes.

  4. Object Number: 891504  Size: SH
  5. Remove the ABS electrical connector from the wheel speed sensor.

  6. Object Number: 891507  Size: SH
  7. Remove the wheel hub-to-control arm retaining nuts and discard.
  8. Remove the wheel bearing/hub from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 891507  Size: SH
  1. Install the wheel bearing/hub to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the NEW wheel hub-to-control arm retaining nuts .
  4. Tighten

        • Tighten the retaining nuts--first pass to 50 N·m (37 lb ft) .
        • Tighten the retaining nuts--final pass torque angle  30 to 45 degrees.

  5. Connect the ABS electrical connector to the wheel speed sensor.
  6. Install the brake rotor. Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Replacement in Disc Brakes.
  7. Install the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
