Service Manual Update for 2000 and 2001 Saturn L-Series Body/Electrical Volume II Service Manuals Regarding Shoulder Belt to Seat Frame Bolt Torque Specifications

The purpose of this bulletin is to update all 2000 and 2001 L-Series body/electrical Volume II Service Manuals at your location.

Please obtain all 2000 and 2001 L-Series Body/Electrical Volume II Service Manuals and make the necessary corrections as indicated below.

After making the following corrections the torque specification should read:

Tighten
Tighten the shoulder Belt-to-Seat Frame Bolt to 20 N·m (15 lb ft)

1. In the 2000 L-Series Body/Electrical Volume II Service Manual:

•	On page 9, cross out the values for Shoulder Belt-to-Seat Frame Retaining bolt torque specification and write in 20 N·m (15 lb ft). .

•	On page 940, under step 5, cross out the values for the Shoulder Belt-to-Seat Frame Retaining bolt torque specification and write in20 N·m (15 lb ft) .

2. In the 2001 L-Series Body/Electrical Volume II Service Manual:

On page 10, cross out the values for Should Belt-to-Seat Frame Bolt torque specification and write in 20 N·m (15 lb ft) .
