Purpose
The purpose of this bulletin is to provide service information regarding the introduction of new "O" key codes and a new 7 tumbler design ignition lock cylinder rather than the 9 tumbler design previously used.
The 7 tumbler ignition lock cylinder will service all 2000 - 2001 L-Series vehicles.
The new key codes can be found in the "L-Series Key Code Supplement". * In the supplement you will find:
| • | A new key code listing beginning with the prefix "O". |
| • | A 7 tumbler conversion for each key code including all "H" and "O" key codes. |
Important: Always use the 9 digit code for key cuts whether the lock cylinder is a 7 or 9 tumbler system.
Key Coding for the "Door/Rear CMPT" and "I/P CMPT" are unchanged.
Important: The following chart is only an example. Do not use this key code on an actual repair to code cylinders or cut keys.
