Headlamp Replacement Traverse with TVP

Fender Brace Bolt to Headlamp

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
2 N·m (18 lb in)

Headlamp Bolt

Tighten
6 N·m (53 lb in)

Headlamp Horizontal and Vertical Adjusting Cam Nut Bolt (Qty: 2)

Procedure

  1. Set the cam adjusting nuts to the nominal setting of 6 turns off fully seated prior to installing the new headlamp assembly.
  2. Check the front bumper fascia to headlamp finish fit and adjust the cam nuts accordingly to achieve an even fit.

Headlamp Assembly

Warning: Refer to Halogen Bulb Warning in the Preface section.

Procedure

  1. Gently pull forward the headlamp assembly.
  2. Disconnect the forward lamp harness electrical connector from the headlamp assembly electrical connector.
  3. Remove the headlamp from vehicle.
  4. Transfer the headlamp electrical harness with bulb sockets as needed.

Tighten
6 N·m (53 lb in)

Tighten
2 N·m (18 lb in)

Procedure

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tip
Tighten the fasteners in sequence as shown.

Headlamp Assembly Nut

Tighten
6 N·m (53 lb in)

Headlamp Assembly

Procedure

Pull outward on the housing in order to disconnect the electrical connection at the lower rear edge of the lamp.

Electrical Harness Connector

Procedure

Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlamp assembly.
