Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the interior trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side or Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side .
2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
3. Remove the door outside handle housing. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Housing Replacement .

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)

Front Side Door Latch Assembly

Procedure

1. Release the door latch cable retainers from the door.
2. Disconnect the door latch electrical connector.
3. Transfer the lock rods.
