The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Vehicle may have a concern of a SES light; transmission goes into a backup mode and code P2724 set. Condition usually occurs on PDI test drive when vehicle has less than 50 miles on the odometer.

Condition is caused by the Diagnostic calibration setting the code prematurely. A new production calibration will be released in the near future to correct the condition.

Clear code and drive up and down through the gears several times. The code typically will not reset after the first occurrence.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
