Condition/Concern:

SIR Driver/Passenger Load Tool (part# J38715-A) is called out as a special tool in some of the SIR diagnostic procedures in the effected vehicles. This specific tool number was NOT sent to the Saturn retailers as an essential tool due to the store already receiving a similar one previously.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Tool# SA9409Z-A (SIR Driver/Passenger Load Tool) is the Saturn released tool and will work with the appropriate Load Tool Adapters that are called out in the diagnostic procedures.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
