The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Technicians may comment that the Tech 2 Steering Wheel Position Sensor Angle relearn is inoperative and DTC C0253 stores. This is due to a software concern within Tech2 version 28.006.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Contact Techline Customer Support Center at 800-828-6860. This issue is scheduled to be corrected in a new software release via TIS2WEB on August 25th 2008.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
