Removal Procedure
Important: Use the
J 38185
(SA9111E) to gently release tension on the hose clamp until the hose clamp lock feature engages allowing removal of the hose.
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
- Remove the right side diagonal brace. Refer to
Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement
.
- Using the
J 38185
(SA9111E), release tension on the hose clamp at the radiator until the clamp locks.
- Remove the radiator inlet hose from the radiator.
- Using the
J 38185
(SA9111E), release tension on the hose
clamp at the thermostat housing until the clamp locks.
- Remove the radiator inlet hose from the thermostat housing.
Installation Procedure
- Install the radiator inlet hose to the thermostat housing.
- Using a small flat-bladed screwdriver, release the hose clamp retention lock at the thermostat housing .
- Install the radiator inlet hose to the radiator.
- Using a small flat-bladed screwdriver, release the hose clamp retention lock at the radiator .
- Install the right side diagonal brace. Refer to
Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement

- Fill the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
