| 2005-2006 Chevrolet Uplander |
| 2005-2006 Pontiac Montana SV6 |
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some new 2005 crossover sports van customers with the GM Mobility (Sit-N-Lift) seat may report that the seat is inoperative or stops in mid travel and they hear a continuous beep tone. A possible cause could be the dome override switch on the dash maybe
turned ON which causes the BCM to go to sleep 10 seconds after the key is cycled off whether the door is open or closed. At this point it does not send out the park input on circuit 274 to the sit and lift seat module. The Sit-N-Lift seat then thinks that the
vehicle came out of park so the it stops and begins to beeping until the vehicle is started or the dome override switch is turned off.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Verify the Dome light override switch is off and retest.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
