The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may comment that the oil life monitoring system is indicating that an oil change is necessary soon after (less than 2,000 miles) the system was last reset. On models equipped with, and where the customer uses the remote start feature frequently,
the vehicle may indicate that an oil change is needed even sooner (less than 1,000 miles).
Recommendation/Instructions:
The calibration to correct this concern is available in TIS 2 WEB. Make sure the PCM has the latest calibration installed for the correct EGR valve.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
