Removal Procedure
- Remove the throttle body air inlet duct. Refer to
Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement
.
- Use a flat-bladed tool in order to remove the retaining clip (2) from the automatic transaxle range
selector cable (3).
- Use a large flat-bladed tool in order to remove the automatic transaxle range selector cable (1) from the cable lever (5).
- Use pliers in order to depress the cable retainers.
- Remove the automatic transaxle range selector cable from the automatic transaxle range selector cable bracket (4).
- Remove the knee bolster. Refer to
Knee Bolster Replacement
.
- Remove the retaining clip (4) from the automatic transaxle range selector cable (3).
- Remove the automatic transaxle range selector cable (2) from the column control lever (1).
- Remove the automatic transaxle range selector cable from the steering column bracket (5).
- Remove the automatic transaxle range selector cable through the hole in the cowl.
Installation Procedure
- Properly route the automatic transaxle range selector cable through the engine compartment.
- Install the automatic transaxle range selector cable through the cowl.
- Install the automatic transaxle range selector cable to the steering column bracket (5).
- Install the retaining clip (4) to the automatic transaxle range selector cable (3).
- Install the automatic transaxle range selector cable (2) to the column control lever (1).
- Install the knee bolster. Refer to
Knee Bolster Replacement
.
- Install the automatic transaxle range selector cable to the automatic transaxle range selector cable bracket (4).
- Install the automatic transaxle range selector cable (1) to the automatic transaxle range selector lever (5).
- Install the retaining clip (2) to the automatic transaxle range selector cable (3).
- Adjust the automatic transaxle range selector cable. Refer to
Range Selector Lever Cable Adjustment

- Install the throttle body air inlet duct. Refer to
Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement
