Removal Procedure
Important: By removing the power sliding door (PSD)
15A fuse, the low current logic power for both the LH and RH power sliding door modules
(PSDM) will be interrupted and both PSDs will be inoperative.
- If equipped with a power sliding door, disable the PSD system by removing the
PSD 15A fuse from the instrument panel (I/P) fuse block.
- Open the sliding door half way.
- Remove the bolt (2) for the sliding
door catch (1) with the reinforcement channel (4) from the sliding door
lower track (3).
- Remove the sliding door catch with the reinforcement channel from the
sliding door lower track.
Installation Procedure
- Install the sliding door catch with reinforcement
channel to the sliding door lower track.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the sliding door catch (1) with reinforcement channel and bolt
to the sliding door lower track (3).
Tighten
Tighten the reinforcement channel bolt to 12 N·m
(106 lb in).
- Completely open the sliding door in order to ensure that the sliding door
catch holds the sliding door in the open position.
Important: By installing the 15A fuse, the low current
logic power will be restored to both the LH and RH PSDMs and the PSDs will be operational.
However, both PSDMs will have to learn the full open and full closed positions of
the PSD. Refer to
Rear Side Door Actuator Control Module Programming and Setup
.
- If equipped with a power sliding door, enable the PSD system by installing the
PSD 15A fuse into the I/P fuse block.
- Close the sliding door.
