Power Steering Pump Pulley Remover |
Removal Procedure
Important: It is not necessary to completely remove the drive belt from the engine.
- Remove the drive belt from the power steering pump pulley. Refer to
Drive Belt Replacement
for the 3.5L engine or
Drive Belt Replacement
for the 3.9L engine.
- Remove the power steering hoses from the power steering hose retainers.
Important: Do NOT disconnect the power steering hoses from the power steering pump.
- Remove the bolts from the power steering pump . Refer to
Power Steering Pump Replacement
.
- Raise the power steering pump from the engine and rotate it enough to gain tool clearance.
- Use
J 37609-A
to remove the pump pulley.
Installation Procedure
Important:
• | Ensure that the face of the pulley hub is flush with the end of the pump shaft. |
• | Do not use the arbor press to install the pulley. |
- Use
J 25033-C
to install the power steering pump pulley.
- Position the power steering pump to the engine and install the bolts. Refer to
Power Steering Pump Replacement
.
- Install the power steering hoses to the power steering hose retainers.
- Install the drive belt to the power steering pump pulley. Refer to
Drive Belt Replacement
for the 3.5L engine or
Drive Belt Replacement
for the 3.9L engine.
- Bleed the power steering system. Refer to
Power Steering System Bleeding
.
